This book has been specially written for pupils preparing to enter Secondary Schools. It contains a large number of worked examples and graded exercises, which, I believe, would assist them to develop the necessary mathematical skills and knowledge to facilitate a smooth transition from Primary School to Secondary School.
Each chapter begins with a discussion and explanation of the relevant theory. This is followed by worked examples of problems which serve (a) to illustrate the implications and application of the theory and (b) to advance methods and techniques to develop reasoning skills and computational skills. Where possible several methods to tackle a problem are discussed, for it is far better "to do one thing three different ways than to do three things only one way".
