By: Edward Bahaw

This text is the second edition of Comprehensive Economics for Caribbean Students. It covers in detail all topics in the new Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) Economics syllabus (Unit 1 and Unit 2). As in the previous edition, Caribbean examples and economic data are used throughout the book so that students can get a firm grasp of the topics and relate it to the region in which they live. To foster understanding, the book makes significant use of pictorial illustrations and analogies to explain key economic theories and models. CAPE-style questions and answers are also included in various chapters.
These questions are very similar to the Paper 02 examination questions of previous years, and the model answers which are provided are meant to give students a guide to formulating answers to the actual past papers.
The three modules of Unit l and Unit 2 of the syllabus are clearly identified throughout the book to enable students to focus attention on individual modules. Furthermore, to aid in revision, exercises with answers are featured at the end of each module. Most importantly, this edition also features a complete answer key for CAPE Paper 02 past examination questions from June 2004 to June 2009.
