COMPREHENSION AND COMPOSITION BOOK 2 is specially compiled to help students improve their comprehension and writing skills. This book comprises three sections:
SECTION A CLOZE PASSAGE
A passage is given and students are to fill in the blanks to complete the story in a logical manner. This tests a student's grammatical skills and vocabulary usage as well as his/her comprehension of the passage as a whole.
SECTION B COMPREHENSION
Students read a passage before attempting the questions that followed. The questions are set to guide and to initiate thinking in understanding the passage.
SECTION C COMPOSITION
This section puts the student's writing skill and imagination to a test. Space is provided for "brainstorming", where students put their ideas and thoughts down before organising them in a logical sequence. Finally, they write out the composition in continuous writing. This exercise will help in organisation of thoughts and writing skill.
SECTION D VOCABULARY BUILDING
This section is included to help build a student's vocabulary. The exercises will introduce new words and reinforce creative ways of word usage.
