A Complete Mathematics Course for Secondary Schools is a series of five books. The first three books cover the latest syllabus set out by the Jamaican Ministry of Education for Form 1 to Form 3.The fourth and fifth books complete the preparation for the CXC Examination.

In this book there are many specifically developed features that will enhance the learning of mathematics, such as:

• The introduction to a topic utilizes examples related to the students' everyday experiences. This makes the topic relevant to the students. Students are asked questions so that they can use their experiences and thinking in conceptualizing the required theory. Students are an integral part in the teaching-learning experience.
• Tables and diagrams are used where possible so that students can better visualize the problem and its solution.
•  Colour is used effectively to facilitate explanation.
• Activities are introduced to build on students knowledge, to stimulate them to do research, to develop their thinking process, to make mathematics more meaningful and interesting, and to motivate them to solve problems.
• Examples are introduced to show students how work can be set down and to show different methods of solving the problem. The comments in fine print in the examples give the thinking processes and background information.
• Procedures are outlined at the end of topics so that students can have a summary of the generalized steps necessary in solving a type of problem.
• Numerous exercises with graded problems are included to cater for students of varied abilities.
•  Revision exercises are included to enable students to apply what was learnt in smaller units.These problems serve to reinforce, integrate and help revise the concepts learnt in a chapter.Revision exercises serve to bring the whole chapter together.

The first three books in the series have been specifically adapted for Jamaica from the best selling Caribbean mathematics series "A Complete Mathematics Course for Secondary Schools". These lower forms texts will seamlessly flow into the CXC Examination texts: "Mathematics, A Complete Course for CSec, Volumes 1 and 2". All the books in this series will more than greatly prepare students for examinations; this series will create a love for the learning of mathematics.
