This lab manual is intended to introduce the student to the CXC CSEC Biology School Based Assessment. Although a student may only do perhaps twenty labs over the two year period, sixty labs have been suggested in this book which covers the entire syllabus.
The teacher is welcome to modify the practicals as they see fit and cut them down in length if necessary or substitute materials.
The marking schemes for the labs have been included. In addition five samples of investigative projects and a mark scheme have been included.
Biology is the study of life. It is the study of plants and animals and other organisms and how they function in the ecosystem.
While the student must score as high as he/she can in the School Based Assessment, the labs can be fun and exciting as well as an opportunity to learn.
